Costa Rica bird watching is world-renowned. The morning bird watching tour begins at 6am at the resort lobby. It lasts approximately 2 hours. We estimate 60 different bird species sightings per day out of the more than 600 species of birds found in the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica. The great location of the hotel allows us to see migratory species of birds, aquatic birds, and resident birds. Some of Costa Rica's most spectacular birds such as the white hawk, chestnut mandible toucan, passerine tanager, black bird red wings, and the rufous motmot can be seen along the trails walked on this tour. You will have the opportunity to see two and three toed sloths, white nosed coatimundis, and other jungle animals.
What to Bring:
It is recommended to bring long pants and closed toed shoes. Rain gear for rainy days. Mosquito repellent is also strongly recommended. Be sure to bring your camera and binoculars.
